Issue with supplementary files in upgrading from OJS 2.4.8-1 to OJS 3.2.1-1

Hi,

When I upgrade from 2.4.8-1 to OJS 3.2.1-1, the supplementary files do not appear on the submissions.

However, if I upgrade from 2.4.8-1 to 3.1.2-4, the supplementary files are loaded correctly.

I have checked the databases, and after upgrading to 3.1.2.4, the supplementary file entries are created in the “submission_galleys” table. However, if I upgrade to 3.2.1-1, there are no supplementary file entries in the “publication_galleys” table.

No errors during the upgrade and in the php_log

Thank you very much.
Regards

[OJS 3] Upgrade issues

Hello all, @asmecher and anyone who can help!

I’m creating a new topic as I’m not sure if it’s all related to the CustomLocale plugin issue.

We’ve tested 4 different installations of OJS and all have the same problem.
We are not able to change site admin settings.
Testing OJS 3 in a local environment, with Laragon and clean installation (Windows laptop) I have no problems.
Whenever we try to upgrade our OJS 2, some areas work, but the site admin content cannot be changed at all. The only time I believe it worked was once, but I’m not sure if I tested then changing content in the admin/site configuration. It crashed when I enabled plugins in the admin interface and after that, all hell broke loose.

A few log entries from one of our test, which are pretty much the same in all tests.

Injecting GS Metadata in chapter landing page of OMP3.2

$

HI @ajnyga
I appreciate your initial work of chapter landing page which I am using however it’s not officially released feature of OMP yet. But it is very useful in my case which I already discussed earlier in OJS or OMP for proceedings and in few other threads. I hope that soon chapter landing page will be available as core feature of OMP.
Currently, google scholar plugin injects gs metadata in galley file view of omp 3.2 however I wish to get google scholar metadata injected in chapter landing page. I am aware that this feature is not officially released yet and hence it might not be of importance but it will be appreciated and a great help if you can providing code snippet for injecting gs metadata in the chapter landing page.
Thank you so much!

Hi Guys, I am working on an OJS upgrade from 3.1.2-4 to 3.2.1-1 and I get stuck because of a database error:
A database error has occurred: Duplicate entry ‘0-1’ for key ‘citations_publication_seq’
I did see this post below on Github but it suggests the issue is resolved. It seems it is not.

Journal uses English and Russian locales.
A solution would be much appreciated.

OJS3.2 Reset Password Link expired but a new password was sent out

Dear all,

This problem was posted a while ago pertaining to OJS2.4.7 (OJS 2.4.7 Reset Password Link expired).

However, I am having OJS3.2.1.1 and when a user reset his/her password, the link that they clicked on was expired. I did the same to my own account and clicked on the link immediately and was indicated as expired. Having said that, I did receive a new password that I could use to log in to change into a new one. Therefore, the expired password reset link seemed to be working but why stated as expired?

In the config file, I have set the reset_seconds to 7200. Perhaps this is a bug?

Hope to get clarification on the matter.
Thanks!

Keywords in different languages are displayed simultaneously

Hi all,
After upgrading my installation to OJS 3.2.1.1, I noticed that the keywords in different languages are displayed simultaneously (screenshot). To understand if it is specific to my installation, I made a clean install, and setup a new journal (etc…) and see that the situtation is same on it. The site locale are English and Turkish, and the journals are also bilangual.
This situation occurs on all themes EXCEPT DEFAULT.
Do you experience the same situation on multilangual journals?
Best regards,

OJS 3.2: label missing for translation in Weblate?

Hello,

I’m trying to update the label for the Make a Submission block plugin in Indonesian in 3.2. I’m pretty sure this is missing from Weblate, though (I’m still wrapping my head around the platform but I’m pretty sure I’ve managed to confirm as much).

Can someone please advise on fixing this?

Thanks,

Plugin gallery does not display all plugins after migration OMP 3

$

Hi, I’m having a problem with the plug-in gallery.

I use OMP 3.1.2.0. It has 3 publishers.

I recently upgraded from OMP version 2 to version 3.1.2.0.
For this update, I downloaded a zero version of omp 3.1.2.0 and put the database from the previous version and updated the tools folder.

And when asked to view the downloads, I thought about using the OMP Statistics (Usage Stats) plug-in, but when accessing the gallery to configure, only 9 of the 12 plug-ins are being displayed, as in the screenshot below:

There are no errors in the log, just one that, from what I looked for here on the forum, is an aesthetic error:

PHP warning: the declaration of CustomBlockPlugin :: getBlockContext () must be compatible with BlockPlugin :: getBlockContext ($ contextId = NULL) in omp-3.1.2 / plugins / generic / customBlockManager / CustomBlockPlugin.inc.php on line 0

I am logged in as an administrator. In the gallery for installing plug-ins, it does not show the missing ones and in * plugins / generic / *
show folders for all plugins.

The screenshot below shows all the plugins displayed in the installation gallery:

The installation was done by the .tar.z package. But, to test, I used a new database, with which the plug-ins were displayed in the gallery.

I also did a test to merge the system database with the new database, but it has not yet been displayed.

"Ensuring a blind review" link =>"How to ensure a blind review?"

$

I have been asked by an editor to change the (translated fr_CA version) of the link “Ensuring a blind review” (https://github.com/pkp/pkp-lib/blob/e59aaab290ec1768c11ee6c6b0a4c7e2e6b9240c/locale/en_US/common.po#L1558) (Assurer une évaluation anonyme) for something more interrogative/informative such as “How to ensure a blind review?” (“Comment assurer une évaluation anonyme ?”). The editor argued that this link opens an informative text box and does not constitute an action as such (i.e. clicking on the link does not anonymize the document nor does it make this step mandatory, it only informs the user on how to do it).

I was thinking of implementing that in the localized version of my journals (both en_US and fr_CA; OJS 3.1.x) but I must say I agree with a more interrogative phrasing and I thought that perhaps it could even be changed at the original terminology level? Would that make sense? Better yet, something like “How to ensure all files are anonymized ?” would be, IMHO, even more accurate… but I would be happy enough with the “How to ensure a blind review?” formulation.

What are your thoughts on this matter?

Thanks,

OJS 3.2: Browse Block entries missing title and link

I just upgraded from 3.1 to 3.2 and I noticed the Browse Block only lists the names of the authors and the page numbers. Is there an upgrade for the plugin that I should apply (if so, where?) or is this a known issue?
