I work with OJS 3.2 and OMP 3.1.1. I have a problem with OMP because I can´t find the option to modificate, delete, add options in the navigation menu (when you click “About”). I make two captures, one of the OJS 3.2 withe option “Navigation menu” (Menu de navegación) and the other of the OMP 3.1.1 where I can´t see the same option…
What can I do?

Hey everyone!
I have many submissions on my ‘active submissions’ list that were submitted as a chapter to a book that will join them together.
Ok, this one book is done and published. BUT these submissions will be in the production stage indefinitely and will clutter the submission overview. I don’t want to publish them one by one with a new entry and link each.
Is there any way to link this submissions of chapters to the main submission (that I made myself) of the complete and done book? Or is there a way to archive the submission without publish or reject?

Hi,
this is not whole site issue, only a problem of several articles at http://ojs.cbuic.cz/index.php/peb
between the first Arnaudov and Gabajová only Inese Sluka articles are found, any other () report 404 not found. Any idea what caused this problem? We just published the four proceedings on newly installed OJS (two-week old version - now previous version 3.2…1).
I also noticed when I click the first Arnaudov, it moves lower in the list of articles, so the order of articles changes when you click on the first ones…after they change…this is really strange. I use OJS 2 and 3 for about 7 years and I have never experienced such behavior.

Font types and font sizes appear differently - and not as nice as before. I use the Manuscript (Default child theme). Have I messed up something during the installation?

Could you please answer my few questions regarding a proper workflow in OMP for an Edited Volume?
When the Edited Volume submission is created, it is not possible to assign “chapter author” to this submission before the review. Why is this so? Normally a proper workflow for an Edited Volume would be to assign chapter authors and let them submit the chapters before the Edited Volume is sent to the review (either internal or external). Otherwise the Edited Volume is empty, so how can it be reviewed? Having the “chapter author” role when users with this role cannot be added to the Edited Volume to submit their chapters makes one wonder what is the proper designed workflow for the Edited Volume.
If the above is the current (beta?) stage of the OMP and the “chapter author” role is unavailable before sending the Edited Volume submission to the review, I can assume (from reading other comments here back from 2016 and somewhat more recent from Feb 2020) that the editor creating the submission should act on behalf of the chapter authors and add their chapters to the submission by herself (altough this requires manual communication with the authors and gathering submissions by email). Is it a proper workflow for an Edited Volume in the current version of the software?
Assuming the editor originally starting an Edited Volume submission added all the chapters and moved the submission through the review process (e.g. skipping the review and accepting the submission into the copyediting) what is the proper workflow involving “chapter author” roles? Should the chapter authors be assigned now to the submission? Is it possible to limit access of a chapter author to his/her chapter only (so that he/she cannot view or download all other chapters)? Also how can the volume editor set a limitation for the chapter author to be only able to copyedit his/her own chapter (alternatively is it possible to assign the chapter author to his/her chapter only to post edited version)? Summarizing how should one proceed with the chapter author role?
When chapter authors are assigned and copyediting is done, in the Publication tab there is a section Contributors. When you enter this section there is only listed the main editor who posted the submission of the Edited Volume. The assigned chapter authors are not present there. Is it possible to have them display in the List of Contributors? The link “Add Contributor” when pressed allows to add chapter authors as new entities without any connection to the previously assigned chapter authors in the submission (who have first registered in the system). The same goes for the section Chapters which also does not include the chapters as defined in the submission. Is it correct or am I missing something on how to connect the workflow with adding chapter authors and the chapters with this basic information in the Publication tab?
Is there a way to add an ISBN number (e.g. as a meta data) to the book published in the catalog? I can’t find a relevant field.
If you could please indicate the best practice workflow for the Edited Volume (which involves the chapter authors). OMP documentation seems not to cover the workflow on Edited Volumes.

Hi,
Is it possible with OMP to set the base domain URL on which OMP is installed as the path to a single press hosted?
In Administration -> Site Management -> Hosted Presses you need to create a press to get going.
There is a mandatory field Path. Seemingly it cannot be set to a base domain URL even if you have only 1 press hosted.
So e.g. if you host your OMP install on a subdomain of your site: yourpress.yoursite.com
This causes that the press-name is doubled in all URLs of the OMP (like e.g. yourpress.yoursite.com/yourpress/catalog)
How can it be configured so that the Path setting in creating press would be just the base domain in case you have only 1 press (which is I presume rather common situation)?

Indexed Journals Impact Factor and Metrics (IJIFM) is an indexing and Abstracting database based in the PKP project.
On the website I found the info that the service is 30 USD. The email was marked as SPAM, the website has no SSL … this all looks fishy. I have no interest in using the service, but I am curious to know if there is indeed an affiliation with PKP as stated in the email.

Hi there,
I am using OJS version 3.2.0.3 and I would like to edit the source code of the Author Guidelines.
When I access the Workflow and then Author Guidelines, the option to edit the source code is not appearing:
It appears when I edit the About the Journal section, but not for the author Guidelines.
Can anyone help me with this issue?

We use OJS 3.2.1.1 and we have the following problem with assigning the DOI to an already published article.
When I am going to assign it I have the following message:
You can not generate a DOI until this publication has been assigned to an issue.
The publication is already assigned to a number.
If I try to unpublish the number to try unpublish an publish, and I’m going to assign the number, it shows the following message:
A DOI has not been assigned to this publication.
if I’m going to assign the DOI it shows the message:
** You can not generate a DOI until this publication has been assigned to an issue. **
Do you have any ideas what I can do to assign the DOI?

A month ago we upgraded our journals to OJS 3.2.1-1. And all the journals are working correctly.
In the last few days we have upgraded some journals to OJS 3.2.1-2 because the improvement of the preview of an article before publication had been implemented.
In all the journals upgraded to OJS 3.2.1-2, we cannot upload the dependent images in an HTML galley if OJS asks us if the file to be uploaded is a revision of a previous image, because the name is too similar. However, if the name is very different, OJS does not ask and the image is uploaded correctly.

Hello … Good night!
I have a problem in a magazine in OJS 3.2.0-3 in which when trying to enter the control panel, it shows a screen saying that the user needs to make a submission and when clicking the same screen just reloads. I’ve tried to change the user’s permission in the “role” table in the database and it doesn’t seem to have any effect. Therefore, submissions to this magazine are not feasible. Has anyone ever experienced this?
Notes: This is true for all users.

I’d like to add lastmod to our OJS sitemap. In
pkp-lib/pages/sitemap/PKPSitemapHandler.inc.php
lastmod is listed as an option (at the bottom of the file).
How do I activate this option?

Dear OJS Community,
in OJS version 3.2.1.1, which we use, and apparently also in the current version 3.2.1.2, submissions can only be scheduled for publication and assigned to a future issue after all production phases have been run through and the “Production” phase has been completed. Once assigned to an issue, the submission is no longer active and is automatically moved to the “Archive”.
We would find it useful if these two steps, archiving the submission and assigning it to an issue, were independent of each other. The article should not be archived until the issue to which it has been assigned is published. We plan our issues a long time in advance and it would therefore be useful to be able to assign submissions to individual issues before all production phases have been completed. The submission should therefore remain active after the assignment to an issue.
With this in mind, it would also be convenient to develop a new filter in the submission menu that filters the active contributions according to their assigned issues. This could look like this:
I would be interested to know what other journals think about such a feature.
Do you consider this an improvement as well?

I am currently using OJS 3.1+ and have multiple instances of OJS running. For most of them I activated the usage statistics plugin and also the user anonymization.
Did I get this right, that the salt in the salt file is changed by OJS daily? If so, could this cause problems when multiple journals try to access the salt file (both for reading and writing)?

We assigned 3 reviewers for a manuscript. We have been noticed that the review request mail failed to send. Now when we try to send the email again, we are not getting the drop-down email template to send the review request mail to the reviewers. When I click on the “Email Reviewer” under the review section, I am getting a blank page and no options to select the appropriate email
